Meet the team

Our students deserve the best training and experience possible as they embark on the path towards a job in Dental Assisting, and our team is more than up to the task. Our administration and instructors work together to develop excellent curriculums and leave classes fully confident in their new skills. Dr. Gregg Testerman President/Owner

Dr. Testerman’s career in dentistry began in 1976, after receiving his Doctorate of Dentistry from The Ohio State University, where he played basketball as an undergraduate. He then returned to his hometown of Lebanon and joined his father’s dental practice. He is very proud that his oldest son is now the 3rd generation dentist to practice at Testerman Dental.

Dr. Testerman also has extensive advanced training in several specialty fields of dentistry, including Implantology, Sleep Dentistry, Cosmetic Treatment, Complete Dentures and Full Mouth Reconstruction.

He and his wife Cherie have four sons and eight grandchildren. Outside of the dental world, his personal hobbies include golf, fishing, spending time with family and of course – cheering on the Buckeyes!

Cheryl Testerman Director

Cheryl attended Ohio State University, and her career in the dental field first began in 1985. She is proud to now be helping others start new, rewarding careers at Dental Assistant Pro!

Cheryl is originally from DuPont City in West Virginia, and she and her husband Gregg have four sons and eight grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys playing bridge, cooking, entertaining, and spending time with her family.

Sharon Administrative Coordinator

Sharon has been a part of the Dental Assistant Pro team for over five years now, and she previously was a long-time employee at Dr. Testerman’s dental practice in Lebanon. She is graduate of Eastern Kentucky University.

Sharon is married and has three children and five grandchildren. When she can find any free time in her schedule, she enjoys making quilts and baby blankets.

Jeanne Head Dental Assistant Instructor

Jeanne has been working in the dental field for over 25 years now, and her career at Dental Assistant Pro started a decade ago. She studied at Sinclair Community College and has undergone advanced training in several specialty fields as well, including periodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and implant placement. Her love of giving back to others and compassion for dentistry has helped many students not only become great dental assistants, but also go on to become EFDA’s and dentists too.

Jeanne grew up in the small town of Fairborn, OH. She is the proud mother of a daughter named Stephanie and son named Mike, who have in turn blessed her with five wonderful grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys watching all of her grandchildren play sports and vacationing with her best friends at sea side beaches. She actually first went to school to be a fashion designer, but she’s proud to now be a tooth designer instead!

Angel Dental Assistant Instructor

Originally from Grove City, OH, Angel’s experience in dentistry covers eight years. After studying at Columbus State Community College and earning her Associates in dental lab technology/small business management, she actually attended Dental Assistant Pro herself! She loves getting to meet so many wonderful students through her job and seeing them succeed in the dental field.

Angel is happily married to her husband Payne, and they have two beautiful boys named Colby and Brody. They also have a dog named Miss Elizabeth. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, reading a good book, antiquing, watching baseball (Go Tribe!), and decorating. She’s often called an “old soul” because of her love for all things vintage and retro.

Kayla Dental Assistant Instructor

Kayla’s hometown is Orrville, OH. She moved to Columbus in 2014. She received her education from Ohio Business College for Dental Assisting. She is a Certified Dental Assistant. Kayla attended The Ohio State University for her EFDA license and coronal polishing. She is assisting full time for a Prosthodontist office. Her favorite part of being an instructor is seeing the students succeed and love the dental field as much as she does! Kayla has a tattoo of a tooth! 

“I wanted to either be a dental assistant or teacher, and now I feel like I get the best of both worlds.” 

Outside of dentistry, Kayla enjoys hanging out with friends, playing volleyball, or getting her nails and lashes done. She enjoys trying new restaurants around Columbus. Kayla loves traveling. She has been to 10 different countries.

Abby Dental Assistant Instructor

Abby became interested in finding a career in the medical field after spending 7 years working as a manager at Kings Island. After coming across the Dental Assistant Pro website, she felt a calling toward the dental field and decided to go through the Spring program in 2021.

Abby quickly enjoyed everything about being a dental assistant and was able to find a job after only a couple weeks of being in the program. Abby now works as a full time Dental Assistant at Mortenson Family Dental in Landen. She is also currently working towards her goal of one day becoming an EFDA!

Abby grew up in Maineville, Ohio and graduated from Ursuline Academy in 2016. In her spare time Abby loves to play volleyball and travel, her favorite place to visit is Disney World! Abby also loves spending time with her long time boyfriend Andrew and their corgi named Butterscotch. Abby has truly found her passion for dentistry and loves her role of educating the students at Dental Assistant Pro!
